Merchant Processing Program

The Retail Grocers Association of Greater Kansas City is proud to bring another valuable service to our retailers. By utilizing the RGA wide area network, area grocers can utilize several programs to help increase profitability. Possibilities include:

Gift Card Program:

  • Ad Groups can create their own gift card to drive sales. The Midax software operated by RGA will allow the retailers to reconcile sales and redemptions with various ownership groups.
  • RGA will send out quarterly statements to all members on the RGA gift card program. These statements will list each owners accounts receivable and accounts payable from the other users. RGA will allow for a ten day grace period by which the retailers can corroborate our figures. At the end of this period RGA will initiate settlement amongst the users.

Check Verification and Check Collection:

  • RGA is working with Retailers throughout Kansas City and the surrounding areas to share positive and negative check files to fight the growing problem of check fraud.
  • Participation in this program will stop the check runners from hitting your store.

Loyalty Card Program:

  • Midax software operated by RGA has the ability to create a loyalty card program to fit your needs.

Credit / Debit Processing:

  • The RGA WAN has circuits to Bank of America, Concord, and Lynk.
  • RGA has negotiated discounted rates with Bank of America for credit and debit processing.
  • RGA has teamed up with AWG to offer grocers the ability to process debit and credit through Concord First Data at the same low rate for Frame or Satellite.

RGA NETWORK FACTS:

  • The network consists of a main production server, a web based server and a real time fully redundant backup server for the main production server. In addition, a back up server is housed off site and continually updated with current data to insure swift transfer of production.

  • The RGA WAN will undergo annual security assessments as well as quarterly scanning.
  • The RGA WAN has an Intrusion Detection System in place to protect consumer informationfrom access by a hacker.
  • RGA is constantly looking at ways to improve the reliability and efficiency of the WAN.

In order to participate a connection to the RGA WAN is necessary. Grocers will be Participating in a fully redundant network that offers grocers the ability to share information and combine volume to insure low rates on all types of processing needs.
